Industrial radiography

Industrial radiography is one of the most versatile and effective methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) of materials. The radiograph produced using x-ray and gamma-ray is viable to determine any changes in thickness, defects (internal and surface) and changes in structure of specimen.

The increasing demand for the manufacturing of aviation and oil & gas industry would raise the need for NDT inspection in Malaysia. Participant who attend this course will provides esssntial knowledge on radiographic theory and practice for the identification of defects revealed by radiography. Evaluation of weldments and castings, using radiograpic codes and procedures to enable interpreters to judge radiographic quality.

This course is designed based on National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) requirements under Department of Skills Development (JPK) and is being recognised by Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) for the high standard in radiation safety aspects.
